This month we’re holding our biannual shotgun class!
Previous classes covered slug change overs, patterning, dynamic movement, and general manipulation.
Open shoot from 8:00am to 10:00am Class starts at 10:00am to 4:00pm including lunch break.
Specialty gear will be required:
Shotgun capable of holding at least 6 rounds (semi or pump). You must be able to carry at least 10 additional shells on your person using ammo carriers purpose-built for holding shotgun ammunition (aka no dump pouches full of shells, but sidesaddles, bandoliers, etc. are ok). More is recommended Long pants and covered shoes are required. Round count will be 30 Slug, 20 00 Buckshot, 200 of birdshot #7 or smaller. It’s time to break out the carbines!
We’ll kicking off the free shoot from 8:00-10:00 Targets are provided, though you may bring your own targets as well (1/2x2s, cardboard, shootandsee’s, etc).
If you are signed up for the class you must be ready to go by 10:30am. Those who arrive later will be assessed a late fee and even may be denied admission to the class. Class will run until 2:00pm
Equipment requirements are carbine, mag carriers, and 3-5 mags minimum. Round count will be 250 rounds.
Please follow all kokohead range and HDF specific rules. Failure to comply will result in instant removal and future attendance denial.

Free shoot starts from 9:30-12:00 Target stands are provided, though you may bring your own targets as well (1/2x2s, cardboard, shootandsee’s, etc)

So here are the rules and the required “Tools”.
1. First and most importantly you must have attended our pistol and a rifle instruction at least once.
2. This month will be a random mix so you must bring all of the firearm platforms below and necessary “tools” ( holsters pouches ammo etc etc.)
3. You will need to bring a pistol and a carbine and a shotgun.
4. You will need to have a holster for your pistol and extra magazine pouches for both pistol and rifle. As for ammo count: pistol 100, rifle 100, shotgun 50.
Free shoot will still occur from 8am -10am. The event will kick off immediately after.

This month we will be having our first intermediate class as well as a modified open shoot!
There will be an open shoot from 8am to 11am with instruction available to those interested. Also we will be having an mini carbine class from 8 to 9. If you would like to attend please RSVP at email@example.com so we can get an idea of an accurate head count.
The plan is to try to include emphasis on some skills that we don’t get to feature during regular carbine classes

HDF is opening registration for our first shotgun class. This will be a six hour course covering the proper manipulation and employment of shotguns.
All participants must be checked in by 7:30 AM sharp on October 25th or will be unable to participate.
Range Day Schedule: 7:30AM Introductory Brief 8:00AM – 2:00pm Shotgun Course 2:00pm – 4:00pm Free Shoot

This month will focus on handguns! Please bring holster, mags, appropriate safety gear, and 200-300 rounds of ammunition.
Instructors will be available if you’re looking to get some tips and pointers.
8-12:30 Beginner Class 12:30-2:00 : FREE SHOOT
In the interest of starting class on time, a late check in will incur a $10 late fee and those who do not check in with us before 8:20 will forfeit their spot.
Range Fee: $20 for members, $30 for nonmembers. If you wish to only attend the Fun Shoot the range fee is $10.
