href="http://ia601204.us.archive.org/33/items/gov.uscourts.hid.99236/gov.uscourts.hid.99236.25.0.pdf"><em>Fisher v. Kealoha</em> (D. Haw. Apr. 19, 2011)</a>, the district court let plaintiff proceed with his Second Amendment claim, in a way that suggests plaintiff might well win. In December 1997, Kirk Fisher pled guilty to two counts of misdemeanor “harassment” of his wife (who is apparently still his wife), and was placed on probation for six months. As part of his probation, he had to surrender his guns, but after the probation was over, the court ordered that the guns be returned, so long as that was consistent with Hawaii law and federal law; and the police department did indeed return them.</p><p>But in Fall 2009, Fisher asked for a license to buy another gun — Hawaii requires such a license — but the police department said no, and indeed ordered him to dispose of his current ... <a

href="http://www.hawaiidefensefoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Gun-Shooting-2.png" rel="lightbox[839]"></a>Good times, great friends, and quality training were the words of the day yesterday ts the Hawai&#8217;i Defense Foundation&#8217;s range training day.  The turnout was good, and it would be safe to say that everyone in attendance learned something.</p><p>Alex Europa put his engineering skills to work this week to build a set of mobile target stands, which worked great and added a whole new dimension to training.  Shooting at moving targets was a new experience for most of us, and was quite an eye-opener.  There is certainly a lot to process when both the shooter and target are in motion, and Alex&#8217;s stands allowed students to get at least a little bit closer to real-world experience.<a

href="http://www.calgunsfoundation.org"></a><p>San Carlos, CA (March 9, 2012) – Continuing its Carry License Sunshine and Compliance Initiative, The Calguns Foundation (CGF) has filed a lawsuit today in Los Angeles Superior Court against Los Angeles Sheriff Leroy “Lee” Baca, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and Los Angeles County. The case, entitled Jennifer Lu, et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al., challenges the Sheriff’s ban on accepting and processing applications for carry licenses submitted by city residents.</p><p>The Calguns Foundation is joined in the lawsuit, by three individual plaintiffs.</p><p>“Sheriff Baca made the unfortunate decision to repeat historical failure,” noted CGF Chairman Gene Hoffman. “Apparently, the Sheriff and County do not feel bound to follow the precedent they set when the California Court of Appeals ruled against them in 1976.
